Arnold Schwarzenegger is known for picking his battles as an actor in action movies. His legacy has paved the way for any and all aspirations in the real world, as a former governor, bodybuilder, and environmental activist.
As Schwarzenegger fights to have a lawsuit against his son Joseph Baena thrown out of court, he is using those skills once again.
A lawsuit filed by plaintiff Takaloo Saam seeks $1.5 million in damages from Schwarzenegger's Oak Productions Baena, according to court documents cited by Radar Online.
The suit seeks damages for Saam for "great mental, physical, and nervous pain." For unknown reasons, Arnold Schwarzenegger's company was named alongside Baena, a Dancing with the Stars alum, in the April 2021 car accident proceedings.
The Schwarzenegger side denies any wrongdoing, and as such seeks dismissal of this case. In addition to the allegations of physical and mental suffering mentioned above, Takaloo Saam's claims are quite serious.
Furthermore, there is a possibility of "some permanent disability," which is directly related to the $1.5 million damages sought for the suffering, medical care, and lost wages.
Going forward, the greatest challenge will be to link those injuries to the accident. It appears that this won't be an easy matter to resolve, given the burden of proof.
