The report that KIM Kardashian and her family were not invited to this year's MET Gala has left her feeling "embarrassed," but they will be attending, The U.S. Sun can confirm.
At the 2022 Met Gala, Kim Kardashian created controversy by donning a Marilyn Monroe gown.
Despite having previously walked the carpet for the Met Gala on May 1, an insider told Page Six that neither Kim, 42, nor her siblings or mother Kris Jenner would receive an invitation.
Upon the publication's inquiry, Vogue declined to comment on the guest list; nevertheless, a different source informed the publication that the celebs might still show up.
An individual with direct knowledge of the matter clarified the scenario on Monday, exclusively revealing it to The U.S. Sun: "Anna had planned to perform a cull of the guest list this year and make it more of an elite affair.
"While several names were mentioned, the topic of attendees has always been up for discussion, and nothing has ever been finalised. Kim never received a warning that she might not be on the list.
"Even while invitations have already officially been distributed and Kim has been verified, the news leak that she might not get one did cause tensions to spike behind the scenes.
Before the brand was "cancelled," the founder of SKIMS opted for a dramatic all-black theatrical Balenciaga aesthetic for 2021.
